About Shayi Channel

The purpose of the Shayi Channel is

• To promote the role of women and the voice of women reach out to the general population

• To promote awareness on gender equality and women rights,

• To promote social cohesion in Kachin and northern State

• To raise awareness on gender-based violence and domestic violence

• To strengthen the voice of women in armed conflict,

• To analyze and review the discriminated norms and cultures and beliefs in the society

• To recognize the women leaders who are contributing to different sectors
